this one i started a long time ago, but had a problem with the colours. But i finally fingured out what was wrong, and now i really like it! it's just a practice drawing.

"Du Velger Selv" - backgrounds

Recently the film i worked on while interning at Mikrofilm had it's premiere. I went to Oslo last week to see it, and it was so great to see it finished! Mainly i worked on the backgrounds - building the chairs, houses, trees, busses and so on in paper, which afterwards was photographed (not by me). Here are three stills from the film, and you can see more photos/backgrounds on my portfolio ! :)

It's confusing working with two different screens, that dont share the same colour profile. Now i never know which screen to adjust the colours to. i drew this for the purpose of experimenting with various parts.

Howling Wilderness

Mai Sydendal's midway film "Howling wilderness", at the danish film school, is a cut-out animated short (with cardboard and a glass plate-camera-setup). I did the character design of the two characters in the film, and did the pieces for the cardboard puppets.

it was very interesting to work on, and i've never done cut out puppets before. i am looking so much forward to seeing the film finished! exciting! unfortunately the midway films from the film school are super top secret, for some reason.

I've been looking through my files, and discovered a lot of unfinished stuff. This one is from my trip to Viborg 2 months ago - i was planning to do this kinda documentary montage series of the lovely things i did while i was there, but i only got to do this one. 

So here i am, hanging out with my sleeping buddy Papafish on a relaxing sunday morning plus reading some lovely poems written by Lola Baidel.

I just started working on a new project this week, and it's a 2D animated short, directed by Dorte Bengtson and produced by Nice Ninja. It's called "Skyggedyret" and you can keep track of what's happening on the blog. juhu :D

a little while ago, irena freitas requested drawings for a school project, where she would collect drawings of fan art for a favourite tv show.  i thought that would be fun, so i applied!

Team Generous 2012

I participated in this year's Team Generous, which is Nørlum's annual charity event. This year we collaborated with WWF and the world will now finally be able to lay its eyes upon our little film :)

At the moment i'm attending a 6 weeks course in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, where i'm learning all sorts of tricks. 

This is a remake of an old sketch. Considering how i only drew this because i really wanted to draw a rucksack, i spent a surprisingly small amount of time on that particular item.

A few weeks ago i came home to this. 

Apparently my first reaction was not at all to think of a burglary.

Maybe it's gullibility. Maybe it's denial.

hmm. but next time i'll probably think of it.

cello lady

another experiment drawing based on a lovely photo of a girl playing the cello on the street found on the sartorialist. tried out a hairdo i did for something else - maybe it doesnt really go with those boots, though. oh well. but i want that dress.

based on a photo from some fashion blog-thing, for a little play time drawing. i think her name is ebba. anyway, i was trying to mix lines and no lines, and trying to see if i could get away with soft 'shadows' - still not really mastering it i think, but i am fond of the result in this one, though :)
