the kidney licker.

okay. actually i'm not sure precisely where this idea came from, but we were talking about arna's illness (she was put in hospital because of a kidney disease) and somehow the joke of a kidney licker arose. and i wanted to draw it :)

i think it's.. pretty gross. drawing it was gross. researching for reference materials was gross.. haha. but i just loved the idea! so i had to do it anyway. and it was quite interesting to draw surgery-hospital-environment, i've never drawn doctors and such before.

the colouring technique might be changed. i dont know. in a way i like it this way, but on the other hand i think it's way too "the paint bucket in photoshop is my best friend" - but it IS after all done with the paint bucket, as well as all my other drawings always are. i would like to colour in different ways. But my wacom is 300 kms away, so this was all i could do for now.

Actually the point of making this drawing was to try to explore different character designs because i feel my imagination concerning that is a bit limited, and since this looks like what i normally do, i dont feel i succeeded. this wasnt really what i was searching for.. but i liked drawing it anyway :) And i also wanted to do an a3-drawing (since i normally work on a5), and that part went as planned.

Since i've lost track of time lately, i do not remember when i drew this. I dont remember when i last drew anything that wasnt school related, but it feels like a very long time ago. But anyway, this one is a part of a small series of people eating breakfast.

sometime ago we did a circus exercise - just to have a two-legged character, to do something circusy. unfortunately the linetest is not at its best, but it's viewable.

it's been quite a long time since i last posted some animation from school here - this is one we did in.. i dont remember, but in the fall last year. weight assigment with meelis - drunken goofy! and it still has some parts missing with no inbetweens.
