Well, it is not the only reason. But, at the moment i am working on a little personal-project-film, doing the storyboard and animatic at the same time... based on a script i wrote, that isn't really a script.. hmm. but it's very interesting to try this way of working. anyway, here are some screenshots of the animatic that will not give away anything of the story :)

happy hunger games.
Normally i try to steer clear of those phenomenal hypes, but there's only so much one can do.. I blame it on the trailer.
I watched the trailer for The Hunger Games five months ago, and for some reason i kept remembering it (which is a little odd, since it doesnt appear to be a movie i would be interested in watching - action and violence is not really my thing). If i'd only seen the movie poster, i wouldn't have touched the film with a barge pole. After (finally) watching the movie 3 weeks ago, i've seen the trailer again, and i think it's actually really good - it doesnt reveal any secrets, and maybe that's one of the reasons why i could not forget it. i also really like the trailer score, even though it is sort of epic, and i'm not normally into epic film scores either.
But i am so glad i watched it. and then i read the books (by suzanne collins), which i naturally like even more - I think they did a really good job making the book into a film, though, even though i think about none of the dialogues are similar to the ones in the book, and the ending is a little lame - or maybe just not as intense.
Anyway, i wanted to say a lot about how amazing i think the books are, because they really made me think a lot, and i just stared into the wall for 4 hours after finishing the last one. And i'm still thinking.. But i don't know how to explain it without giving important points away, so instead here are two small fanart illustrations i did this evening:
Katniss finding katniss in the forest.
Katniss and Peeta picking wild onion flowers by the rail road. i got impatient, so there's no rail road.

ronja
These drawings are from last summer. They are part of a spare time project i was working on, but i think maybe the designs have changed slightly - i keep changing my mind. Anyway, it might be something like 30 years before it gets any further, so i thought it would probably do no harm to post some of it here now! so, here is a clothing session :)

sartorialisting
SO - a new one. I kept forgetting about the sketch for this being from the sartorialist. I always seem to end up in the outline-or-no-outline dilemma these days, but i wanted to keep the outline this time no matter what the result would be.

experiments
One of the artists i follow here on this worldwide internet recently said this. I thought it was a really good idea and I have been looking at the sartorialist as well :)
i wanted to play around with some different styles, and here are three finished ones and the next one i am working on. I think i will try out more textures..

Diane Cluck's Song-of-the-week-project!
Hello friends! I will now present to you a project i am really hoping will be realised: Diane Cluck's Song-of-the-week-project!
Diane Cluck is one of my favourite song makers, and her music is like glittering pieces of magic. The first song i heard and instantly fell in love with was "easy to be around" and there was something strange about it and her other songs - they didn't catch me right away, but i still kept listening for some reason - there was something about them, a feeling that couldn't be explained. and one by one they started to grow and bloom in my ears, and now i love all of her songs. I never get tired of listening to them.
in december 2011 she was on 'spinning on air' - where she is interviewed and she plays a mix of new and old songs, and it's really cosy.
Song-of-the-week is a project that will go on for six months. every week she will write, record and distribute a song, ending with a total of 24 songs. The project need subscribers to come true and there are different levels of subscriptions. Take a look and listen to some of her songs, maybe you'll like it too. she also has a shop on her website where you can listen to her songs. regardless, this music means a lot to me - which is why i'm sharing! :)

the days that ended.
Christmas and EndOfYear-events have passed, as well as my days as an intern at Mikrofilm. Because i had such a lovely time, i am going to post some photos. Everyone i met in Norway has been really great, but especially Lise and Kajsa - thank you! :)

And these are some photos from my last days. In this one Cathinka and Magnhild are decorating the studio for the annual christmas party.
the cosy christmas party:
Leftovers from the christmas party, and my last day at mikrofilm.
happy lunch times with leftover food from the party.
And in the evening, which was my last evening in Oslo as well, Lise took me to a christmas presents making workshop with her family. Seemingly, i tend to build houses by default now :)
This next photo is taken by Andreas. quite unexpectedly in the middle of the christmas party i suddenly got presents! lovely books ! :)
these are the books: three comics and a rather large book with wonderful photos of brilliant paper crafts!
thank you, all of you!
and merry christmas and happy new year! :)

shamy.
hahaha. i just had to draw it. it was cute :)
Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler from The Big Bang Theory.
the daily doodle challenge.
I forgot to bring my coloured pencils with me to norway, so i bought some new ones. It turned out to be a happy misfortune since i think these are the best coloured pencils i've ever had :)
carina suggested that we should draw something every day and send a photo to each other of the drawing - here are two of them :)
